Phytochemicals are a powerful resource to discover safe and efficacious novel terapeutics and designing new chemical entities for COVID-19 treatment. The investigation on in silico and, highthroughput screening of antiviral potentials of phytochemicals against targeted viral proteins and immunomodulatory effects provide insights into the interactions of phytoconstituents with the host or viral proteins. Identification of novel bioactive components against the COVID-19 pandemic creates opportunity for drug discovery, improving the Agro-food value chains making smallholders able to address the production of valuable supplements, additives, and foods.
