TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center (MAM) hosted NATO-SET-292 “Enhanced Raman for Defense Application” Working Group closing meeting on October 2-3, 2024.

NATO SET-292-RTG “Enhanced Raman Scattering for Defense Applications” working group, coordinated by the United States Army DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center, convened a closing meeting at the TÜBİTAK MAM National Biological and Chemical Test Center on October 2-3, 2024. Members from the USA, Türkiye, Sweden and Poland participated in the meeting physically, while members from Germany and Canada participated via online. The meeting started with opening speeches by TÜBİTAK MAM Materials and Process Technologies Vice PresidentDr. Ersin Üresin and CBRN Defense Technologies Research Group Leader Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emel Musluoğlu. Introductory presentations of TÜBİTAK MAM and CBRN Defense Technologies Research Group were hold by Dr. Samet Feyyaz HAMAMCI from Strategy and Business Development Directorate, and by NATO-SET Working Group member Dr. Melek EROL, respectively. In the two-day meeting, results of the technical demonstration event for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) technique in a laboratory environment in line with the scenarios created for military users, which was held at the facilities of DEVCOM, USA in March 2024, were disccussed. Additionally, the final report planning and the possible future working group activities were confered.
